Data Deletion
Request removal of your data from Clarity
You can delete your Clarity data — including any data we obtained through the Meta Marketing API — at any time, using any of the methods below.
Option 1 — Disconnect Meta in the app
In Clarity, disconnect your Meta account from the integration settings. This immediately revokes our access token and stops any further data access. We then delete the stored access token and the advertising data associated with that connection.
Option 2 — Remove the app from Facebook
You can remove Clarity directly from your Facebook account:
- Go to Settings & privacy → Settings on Facebook.
- Open Business integrations (or Apps and websites).
- Select Clarity and choose Remove.
When you remove the app this way, Facebook automatically notifies us and we delete the data we hold for your account. This is the Meta “data deletion callback,” and you’ll receive a confirmation code you can use to check status.
Option 3 — Email us
Send a request to privacy@clarity.app with the subject “Data deletion request.” We will delete your personal data and any data obtained via the Meta Marketing API associated with your account, subject to any retention required by law, and confirm once complete.
What we delete
- Your stored Meta access tokens and connection records;
- Advertising data imported from Meta (campaigns, ads, creatives, and performance insights);
- On account deletion: your account and the workspace content associated with it.
Checking the status of a request? Visit your deletion status page and enter the confirmation code from your request. For more on how we handle data, see our Privacy Policy.
